Praekelt Consulting is a marketing company that specialises in the development and day-to-day management of mobile and interactive systems. They have experience in launching and managing platforms for many iconic South African brands. Praekelt assists in engaging a brand with the target market in unconventional and immediate ways. Examples of services offered by Praekelt include mobile television, websystems, SMS and MMS messaging and email management.

Upfront Systems developed a web-based project management tool called XNET on Plone for Praekelt. It enables the project manager to view all the details of a specific project, e.g. the status of the project, milestones, accounting information and design. Media can also be collected with the tool.
